There were 14 angler’s who turned out for leg 4 of the clubs Hilton competition held on the Victoria pier in a very chilly north east wind, It seemed for some the only thing that was biting was jack frost.
Kevin Doyle took the win on the night with eight dogfish for 16-01.5, Andy bertie came a very close second with a mixed bag of dogfish and a brace of coalies for 15-15, and third place fell to Michael emery 15-01.
Pools were Kevin Doyle heaviest bag which contained a nice dogfish of 2-09.5 to take the heaviest dog pool and take top spot in the small accumulator with only one leg to fish, heaviest other was taken by Andy bertie with a 1-09 coalfish, and the pairs pool was won by Kevin Doyle & Colin duke 22-04.5
The next competition is this Sunday 2nd December and it is the penultimate leg of the winter rover, booking in from 4pm at the blue gate.
Our fur & feather competition which is open to ALL club members will now be held on the 9th December with booking in from 4pm , fishing 5 – 8pm , followed by the weigh in and presentation ,which will be followed by the ever popular raffle, would all our members please contact Billy booth on 261631 if you intend to fish so that we can work out peg numbers , if members want to bring a raffle prize it would be gratefully received.
The final leg of the Hilton has now been switched to the 23rd December.
