There were only ten brave soul’s that braved the bad weather to fish the second leg of the club’s ‘Hilton’ competition held on the Victoria pier.
As per usual it was the front pegs that faired the best and there just a couple pound between the top three places and it was Steve cowell who came out on top with 36-02, closely followed by Paul hay 34-14, and in third place was Kenny clough with 32-11.
There were fish caught by everyone and there was a friendly competition between jack kissack and his mum Angela in which jack managed to win that by just half a pound, well done to all for attending on such a miserable night.
the bag pool was taken by Steve cowell 36-02, the pairs pool was won by Kenny clough & Colin duke who had over 49 pound of fish between them, as there was a tie for the heaviest dog both Steve quilliam and mike fayle took the dog and round pool as there were no round fish weighed in.
the next leg of the Hilton will be on Sunday 11th November, booking in at the blue gate 5pm .
the clubs rearranged heaviest fish comp will be held on Friday 9th November and there are only a few places left so please get your entry form to Stuart littlewood as quick as possible, entry forms are available online and at the butchers & tackle shops, closing date for the entries is Wednesday 7th November.
