I along with at least one other member of this site own at least 1 of these rods and having fished them hard for nearly two years you have to come to the conclusion that they are a real joy to use .You see every nibble that bends the tip from small fish such as pouting and the handles big fish such as 50lb plus tope .With a combination of a variety of reels fitted onto them from a diawa sl30sh to the new Penn gold reels which are one of the smoothest reels i have ever used,the quantum world champion uptide rod must rank as one of the best rods to get your hands on .The hard bit now is trying to locate any one still selling them .

what happened to the good old fire tip?

Still on the boat ,but as much of my time is on K3 at the moment i only take 1 rod on with me and its the quantum ,the fire tips are in full use when out on the "Jet Ski".
