Douglas angling club fished the 9th leg of the Jarvis trophy on a very chilly Victoria pier and with fishing down to low water, it was going to be slow night & that proved to be the point with over half the field failing to catch.
Steve cowell was fishing the favoured corner peg and took the win with 138cm, second place went to our club captain martin Jennings on 86cm & third went to Colin duke with 81cm.
The pools were spread around a bit with Steve cowell taking the bag, martin Jennings claimed the dogfish pool with a 1-06 specimen 7 was paired with Dave walls to take a share of the pairs as well with 147cm, Colin duke took the other pool with a 5 ounce pouting.
the top two are Dave walls 30.5 points, second Steve cowell with 27 points so it is all down to the final leg of the Jarvis trophy which takes place this Sunday on the Victoria pier with booking on from 6pm, fishing 7 – 10pm.
there are still several trophies to be returned for engraving, please get them to either comp sec or to sue & john Mc coubrey as we only have two weeks to the prize presentation.
