The settled weather was ideal for an evenings fishing & 17 anglers turned up for the 7th leg of the Jarvis trophy, sadly the fish did not.
Out of the seventeen anglers only 10 landed qualifying fish, top angler on the night was Dave walls who took an easy win with 102cm, there was a four way tie for second place between Brian clague, martin Jennings , Kenny clough & mike fayle as they caught a dogfish apiece @ 60cm.
The bag pool went to Dave walls and he was paired with Brian clague so he took a share of the pairs as well with 162cm, heaviest dogfish went to martin Jennings 1-14.5 and heaviest other went to mike coopers pouting of 6.75 ounces.
with three legs left to fish Dave walls has taken the lead with 26 points, second s.quilliam with 23.5 & in third place is s.cowell with 21.5, the next leg of the competition is this Sunday 25th with booking in from 5pm, fishing 6 – 9pm.
would all members please return the trophies to a committee member so that we can get them engraved in time for the clubs prize presentation which will be held at the hydro hotel on the 23rd march.
