This can be the conciquences of trying to run your boat on the wrong fuel. Merit 1 owners Gary Bridson and Lee Graham pondering on what the next step is, before deciding that the only way to get the boat up and running is to take the entire enghine out and replace sleaves, with a new head gasket and a rub down of the valves before putting it all back together. Not something that i would wish on any boat owner, but it just shows the perils of trying to do things for the right reasons that not always pay off. Hope that the bill does not escalate too much for you and we all hope the the 2010 chapion boat is back in the water very soon. Getting on with it Gary and Lee get working Admin316

sad to see that you had damage from the bio fuel, the thing is that it seperates if left idle for any length of time and can cause alot of damage to an engine, hope all is well now

It wasn't the biofuel that caused the problems, we had a few shot injectors, thus causing the un burt diesel to wash the oil off the barrel. This in turn made the engine nip up (seize) on the number 5 cylinder. Should be up and running in the next week ur 2, can't decide on what colour to paint the engine next.
