Due to illness and some members being off island there were only eight people who showed up for the penultimate leg of the clubs winter rover.
Colin duke & Kenny clough decided to fish the breakwater, which turned out to be the right move for Colin as he landed a nice calig of 3-04 and the heaviest other pool.
the rest of the field decided to fish the Victoria pier and it was Billy booth who came out on top with five dogfish for 7-13, Billy also took the heaviest dogfish pool with 1-13 and he was paired with lee Magee to take the pairs pool as well.
With one leg to fish it could not be closer with four people with the chance to take the trophy, as it stands it is Steve quilliam leading with 53 points , Billy booth on 52.5, Paul hay on 51.5 & lee Magee on 49.5 so it all up for grabs on the last leg.
The accumulator with one leg to go stands 1st Paul hay 2-08.5, 2nd Billy booth 2-07.75 & Kenny clough 2-06 so all left in the accumulator still have a chance of some money.
The next competition is the clubs fur & feather Sunday 9th December, the competition open to ALL MEMBERS, there will be some food and drink and of course the raffle, if you wish to donate anything towards the raffle it will be gratefully received, booking in from 4pm at the blue gate, and a 5pm start and there will be 3 optional pools on the night.
