dont think k3 will be fishing it if its august bank holiday ,will be in wales fishin that weekend go every year ! but you have it whenever you want !

Just wish other anglers would speak up and chip in ,i am only trying to do this for them .I would prefer it to be july week end ,but i will have to see what others say and what response i get get from people on mainland ,response so far as i have sent out an open invitation to all is that if i can get the steam pkt on board and enough sponser ship then they would be willing to come and compete .

Merit 1 will fish it which ever days you decide, got no plans as yet so very flexible. Just hope we can get some good weather

We posties have chosen to have senior race day off for once instead of the queens jubilee and I'm in work on Saturday 7th aswell.

This is why you have so much advance warning for this comp ,i my self will have to take two days without pay but that is the price i MUST pay .i am sure that with all the people that work at the P/O you should with this length of notice be able to switch with some one for those two days .



I have plumped for what i feel is the best dates to also get boats from accross the water to attend .



Bet most people wont be arguing that much if i pull this off and you are fishing for a first prize of well over a £1,000,more than makes up for saturdays over time rate i am sure .



Remember for most of the time all this is run by one man ,he is trying to accomodate all ,but realises that this will never be done ,because there will always be some one that they say does not suit .



I do these comps because most of the time i feel that we are a dam good advert for fishing in the Isle of man and beyond, if you read the comments on mainland sites they love all our tales and the way we approach our fishing comps .the main aim of this three day comp is to bring visiters to this island and maybe just maybe ,this could turn out in years to come to be a major fishing event not only for us ,but for those who wish to come and compete in it .Is that a bad thing or do you all just want it kept to our selves ??

Not a chance of me swapping my duty the day after Tynwald Day. Double mail and only one day to deliver it. No one in their right mind would swap with me!
I've no problem. If I can't make it I can't make it.
Anyway,if we don't fish it gives someone else a chance to win

Its all about giving more than 100% to the cause ,people who hope to be coming from accross to fish this comp are putting that effort in to do so ,why can't we. Its not about "cliques "as some would have others believe ,but that is how they happen because some sacrifice more than others ,which is a shame as we all have a common cause ,and thats to GO FISHING
