With no affiliation to any club this year, you yoursevles need to keep track of what you catch throughout the year . if you make a list under your own name and keep a record of it i will be giving a prize away for the most species caught by a single boat angler at the end of the season .

If you are not fishing in the boat comps ,but want to enter this fun comp ,you must provide proof of what you have caught in the form of photos with proof of the date caught.

Remember this is mainly for fun ,but we still want that little bit of competition between each other .

Just a little idea for you Jamie, why not make some laminated cards with something like "Manx Boat Fishing Species Hunt 2011" and anglers name on them. Take a photie of each species with the card next to it and post them on the gallery.

This blog is open to all cam not just those who fish in the boat comps ,that is why they have to send the photos in to prove what they have caught . Not all boat anglers take part in our comps ,although i am hoping that something like this will encourage them to do so.

That is my point, just sounds like a fun idea. I could hand em out to people i fish with on the boats, encourage them to post pics on your site and enter into your species blog

Hve sent you the e-mail you requested gazza , will you be able to laminate them or will i have to do that. I think it will work well Jamie, its all a bit of fun. It will be a good challenge to see what species can be scratched out.

jamie,wen im out on bones nxt summer im targeting 15+ species there kidda,leave the tope.i'll hopefully be latchin onto them with the pegasus the next day

a welsh angling club does that,i think it works for them

WE will have time to get the tope aswel as every thing else ok , tope don't take that long to catch on the east side of the island .
