Michael and i decided to go out to the 6 mile mark on this evening to see what the fishing was like. We had not been out here since last year and once there we found out that the fishing was still not at its best.
Plenty of Whiting were to be had along with lots of small Dog Fish, it was noted that the number of Grey Gunnards being caught by both of us was of a vast improvement of the previous year, although no Red Gurnnards were caught.
However there was a couple of very nice fish caught by yours truely, a nice Bull Huss and a really nice Tub Gurnnard. The Bull Huss was caugh on the only Mackerel Head that was fresh on the boat and Michael was not happy that i stole it "TUFF".
Although not fishing at its best it was good to get out to this mark and spend some good quality time fishing after a hard day at work, the banter was good and the company even better.
Here are a couple of pics of the nights fishing.
