Hi brim we had one in June in quite poor casting conditions and should of had one yesterday when conditions were very good with a constant easterly blowing but unfortunately the air field was double booked so as we get to use it free we missed out trying to rearrange it I'll get the results of the last one posted up to your link didn't think people would be interested

A few people over here will be interested in the results, and the fact you have got yourself some comps going as well. Poor conditions sort the men out from the boys Duggy!
Sounds like you have got a good thing going with the airfield, venues are a tricky thing to aquire and work around, we pay a good few quid every event for ours at NWSA, its a good field though, but we have to constantly move the dates of events, due to the silage crops on the field.
Hope you get a few turning up, on an island I'm sure there will be quite a few dark horses with big numbers going on!

Isle of Man Ploppers Association (IOMPA) held a casting comp on the 8th June 0-5mph NW winds. First casting comp held on the IOM for many years,we are just finding our feet so no weight categories most casters used 150g leads with 0.31-0.35 line.

Well done guys, and good numbers on the fishing gear, bad conditions or not! Thanks for taking the trouble to post them up on our site as well, plenty will be interested in the world of casting, plus you never know, if one of your events coincides with one of our vists to the island after the tope, you might get a couple more lads along for the crack!

More than welcome brim a few of your lads have been overto fish our angling festival over the last few years so may try and get something organised to coincide with that next year. I'm trying to get over to do one of your events but it will be an expensive weekend be ause no doubt the wife will want to come with me and go shopping

There are no shops in England! if we can help at this end, don't be afraid to ask for a lift if you want to go footpassenger! An event at festival time I can see being good fun!

The rearranged open casting comp will be on the 7th September from 1200 if you fancy coming for a chuck everyone is more than welcome.
