Well with the weather fare K3 headed south from Douglas harbour today and with a couple of stops on the way for bait Castletown Bay was the target fishing spot. having to head out slightly to avoid the swells at Langness it was soon time To lower the Bait and start fishing.
The state of sea was fair and the fishing was steady, Callig were in abundance although no monsters were giving themselves up today. the familiar nod nod nod of the next bite indicated that it was a cod and it proved to be a nice keeper of 6lb 12ozs.
Callig kept tugging at the frozen Launce until the judder of of a nice ling put a bend in the "Mincey Blue" rod as this turned out to be of average size of 5lb.8ozs.
Michael allowed himself 30 mins to get back to his home port of Douglas, this turned out to be wrong as it took 3/4 of an hr due to the state of sea,but all in all not a bad couple of hours fishing and fresh fish for tea, marvelous.
