this comp is fishing 10 am til 4pm and will be an open species one this time as all fishing will be LEFT OF THE TOLL GATES , the six (6) mile mark is admissable ok .



the weather seems to be a little undecided ,depends on which site you do on the IOM GOV site says that coastally winds 4-5 and state of sea slight going slight to mod ,whilst wind guru gives us west going s/west and then going southerly towards the evening with winds up to 15 or 16 mph and pretty much the same forcast from the BBC.



I am looking on the positive side and i think that we might get away with it .I will not be hasty in calling it off but as always safty will be our main concern .



I will keep you all posted ,and no doubt you will all want to put your views forward ,i am awhere that after the last comp some will be more sceptical than others ,but lets see what the next couple of days throw up .

Well!!!, if someone can tell me which ruddy forcast to go by i will ,i think we are living in a whirlpool.Ronaldsway tells you force 4 -6 coastal s/w -southerly ,wind guru says mild winds from the west at 10am going round to s/e by 4pm ,bbc forcast says s/w all day at 15kph .



Wanting to get this comp on if possible i will defer desicion till sunday morning as we could always reduce the fishing and stay close in .

The pressure charts seem to show a gap in the weather for the first part of the day, but there is shite moving in from west of Ireland for the bulk of next week. Surely will catch the best of the weather and the time it turns it will be coming with the flood tide? Maybe the weather will worsen over the high water?

is it practical to start earlier

If all are up for it i have no objection ,would you all go for an 8am start ???

I shall speak to skip in the morning.
I like the north zone comp and I'm looking forward to it however with the forecast as it is would we be better off fishing south this time so that if/when it freshens from the south we will be heading for home with the tide and the weather up our arses? I for one don't fancy battering round clay head doing 6-8 knots wondering if I'll ever set foot on dry land again! Just an idea & as ever I will go with the flow.

Looks like the comp is off ,but may take a trip to P/Grenuogh for the morning any way just to see what is about vbefore the bad weather kicks in ,famous last words lets see if we can get out first.
