THREE DAY FESTIVAL AND HOW IT WILL RUN

JULY 5TH/7TH 2013

THIS IS A BOAT COMPETITION AND NOT AN INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION.
 
2 DAYS OF 8 HR SPECIES HUNTING (CATCH & RELEASE).

1 DAY OF FISHING FOR THE HEAVIEST POLLACK 6 HRS.
(DAYS MAY BE SWITCHED TO ALLOW FOR CHANGE IN WEATHER).
THERE WILL BE A 100% PAYOUT ON ALL MONIES RECIEVED.

IN THE EVENT OF A DRAW IN THE SPECIES COMPETITION THE WINNER WILL BE DETERMINED BY WHICH OF THE TWO OR MORE BOATS HAD THE HEAVIEST POLLACK IN THE POLLACK COMPETITION, (CLEAR).

ENTRY FEE IS £40 PER PERSON OR £20 FOR U/16.
(No Refunds )

MINIMUM OF 2 ANGLERS PER BOAT.

MAXIMUM OF 4 RODS PER BOAT.

MAXIMUM OF 12 HOOKS IN THE WATER AT ANY ONE TIME PER BOAT.
ALL FISH MUST ATTAIN A MINIMUM LENGTH OF 20CMS, A PHOTO OF EACH FISH ON THE VERIFACATION CARD MUST BE TAKEN FOR THE FISH TO COUNT, IF NOT THAT FISH WILL NOT COUNT, (TOPE, CONGER RAYS ETC MUST HAVE CARD IN THE PICTURE).

PHOTOS WILL BE SEEN TO COLLABORATE CATCH CARDS AT THE END OF EACH DAY.
ALL CATCH CARDS WILL HAVE TO BE SIGNED OFF BY THE SKIPPER OF EACH BOAT AT THE END OF EACH DAY.

ALL BOATS MAY LEAVE FROM THEIR HOME PORTS ,BUT ONE REPRESENTATIVE MUST BE AT THE BOOKING IN SPOT 1 HR BEFORE THE START OF EACH DAYS COMPETITION.

1 REPRESENTATIVE MUST BE AT THE WIEGH-IN 1HR AFTER THE END OF EACH DAYS FISHING TIME.

ANY OBJECTIONS MUST BE MADE IN WRITING WITHIN 1/2 HR OF EACH DAYS RESULTS WITH A DEPOSIT OF £50, WHICH IF UPHELD WILL BE REFUNDED, IF NOT IT WILL GO INTO THE PRIZE FUND.

IN THE EVENT THAT THE COMPETITION IS NOT HELD DUE TO BAD WEATHER THEN ALL ENTRY MONIES WILL BE REFUNDED

THE ORGANISERS DECIONS WILL BE FINAL

IF YOU FEEL THE ORGANISERS DECISION IS WRONG THEN PLEASE REFER TO PREVIOUS RULE.

Is there a designated start time or not ? 

Fishing will start at 10 am each day, the species days are 8 hrs and the pollack day will be 6 hrs

All looking good Jamie, glad to hear that you are recovering well, hope festival is a success, look forward to reading all about it when i get back off holiday, take care,and DON'T OVER DO IT.

do you just book in on the day or on the thursday night like last year?

It will be on Thursday, i will be posting that shortly.

Damn start again . As the callig comp is catch& release presumably result will be decided on photographed length ? Or will it be some other obscure method that admin might dream up while sitting on the pan ? 

You have to keep the biggest one you catch and weigh it in, same as the pool fish for each day- all will be chosen from edible fish so that nothing goes  to waste.
You also need to keep your largest flat fish as there is a trophy to win for it which has been donated by generous people.

The trophy that i was promised for the heaviest Cod has not come off i think it was drink talking at the time by the person who promised it  , but there is always next year and a further sponsor  .

I never sit on the can when deciding all this John  , i'm normally having a lager  .
