Meeting about Bay ny Carrickey and Perwick Bay Marine Environment
On Tuesday 17 July at 7pm in the Mount Tabor Methodist Church Hall there will be a meeting to discuss the future management of Bay ny Carrickey, chaired by DEFA Minister Phil Gawne.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the importance of the bay in terms of fishing, conservation and other uses and to talk about possible solutions to the issue of habitat damage to the Bay by scallop dredging. The Minister would like stakeholders to put forward constructive solutions and suggestions. Representatives of commercial fishing, angling, diving and conservation will be attending and presenting their views and everyone is very welcome.
