I was going to just call this the Lee Graham thread but I am sure we will all have our moments over the course of the year !!

I must say though Lee has started off really well in his efforts to run away with winning the award for this year.

I'll post regular updates on our misdemeanours but at the moment Lee's are coming thick and fast.

Episode 1 - PUKEY LEE

When we were in Namibia we all went out on a boat for a days fishing. The fishing wasn’t great but Lee livened up the day !!

It has to be said that the night before we got stuck into the ale and stupid shots in a big way and Lee was last one home at about half 4 in the morning.

As we had to be up at 7 this was perhaps not the best idea and a rather delicate Lee surfaced looking like the last thing he needed was a day bobbing around on a boat !

We had drawn ‘pegs’ the night before so we all knew our positions on the boat, or at least we thought we did ! When we arrived at the fishing grounds and the rods went over Lee completely ignored his peg and fished where he wanted much to the bemusement of everyone else. To be fair to Lee I don’t think he was awake enough to really know what was going on at that stage of the day but it didn’t stop a certain Mr Emery asking him why he wasn’t fishing on his peg. I can’t recall Lee’s exact words but it was something like “F#ck Off” in a very grumpy and argumentative tone


Now this was like a red rag to a bull and Emmo (with a little bit of help from others) proceeded to wind Lee up for the rest of the trip and Lee did not take kindly to it at all, snapping back every time !!

We were fishing within 30 yards of another boat with some Americans on board including a couple of young kids (one of whom was showing us up by catching plenty !) and everything was going ok until Lee suddenly jumped up and projectile vomited towards our US neighbours. Of course we were all full of sympathy for the poor lad as our cheers could no doubt be heard for miles around !!!! Lee hurled a couple more times before we headed in and was also sh@t on by a bird so not the best of days for him !!!!

Episode 2 - SNAPPER LEE

Lee’s missus had bought him a new spinning rod for Christmas and in typical Lee fashion it was a top of the range, expensive and shiny one ! Anyway as we steamed out of the harbour on 11th March Lee decided to show me the capabilities of this new rod and that it had a bit of beef about it if he was lucky enough to hook into something decent. Pulling the rod tip over to show me we heard a crisp crack as the top 12 inches broke off in his hand (first time he’s had 12 inches in his hand )

So, before he had even got line through the rings he had managed to break his new rod !!!!!

Episode 3 – LEE CHUCKS HIS KEYS IN THE HARBOUR

On Saturday Gary and Lee spent some time working on installing some new equipment on the boat which all went well until Lee somehow managed to jump over the railings on the quayside only to see his bunch of keys fly out of his pocket and over the side into the harbour !!!!

As the water is not particularly deep they could see the key fob sticking out of the mud so next, how to retrieve it ?

Attempt 1 was to use the landing net but as soon as it got anywhere near the bottom the silt was disturbed and they were unable to see anything so they gave up on that.

Attempt 2 was to go to a friend’s house and borrow his son’s dry suit for Lee to put on. Despite it being a kid’s dry suit you will see from the photo that it was still baggy on Lee !!.



Try as he might Lee wasn’t even able to submerge himself and instead ended up thrashing about on the surface so again they gave up on that.

In the end the friend who they had borrowed the dry suit off stripped down to his pants and dived down to retrieve the keys !

He,s way out in front of me with any one of those ,chin up lee it,s bound to happen to the others sooner or later this year ,can,t wait for Emmo to start

At the weekend we were treated to Paul hooking the back of the jumper he was wearing, followed soon after by him hooking the landing net which was in a rod holder and finally he managed one of his usual tangles :
