like steve i to am self employed and enjoy the fact that i to can say f*&k it and have a day's fishing , but this time it was to take mike and dave out who are on holiday so it was a bit of a charter type of day but that said it was not to bad a day, headed down to spanish head and got the mackeral in no time, so we headed out to a tope mark for an hour or so but the tope were not playing at all, the doggies were though, mike caught a huss of about 7lb but that spat the hook out at the boat .
decided to take them past the chicken rock lighthouse for a look , there was a good tide running so did not stay there long, took them to the calf then and put feathers on with sand eels it was a laugh watching them struggle with full houses of calig around the 3-4 lb mark, soon ran out of eels, after a bit of messing around on the warts and the sound i went up to perwick to try and get a couple of cod, i managed to catch the only two sizeable ones, 5lb and a 3lb so it was not a total loss for me..
the boat was running well and no problems as this was only an excuse to get out and try some different spots ready for next weeks 'mannin festival' looking forward to that , cam if you read this report like i know you will, it says that there is a £ 50 fuel voucher for the best dressed boat, now is it for the boat or do the crew have to dress up as no one seems to know please let me know if you find out

Best dressed boat can be the boat or the crew, I think, not really sure my self. Just tell Jamie to wear something silly and see what happens
