I have been asked by the harbour master of douglas to point out the following relivant points to ensure you enjoy your outings .
1) Wilst traveling to the harbour under no circumstances is any body to attempt to cross the bridge once the lights are activated and the barriers start to come down as this may cause a serious accident .
2) It is no use whatsoever phoning the harbour master to see if he can hold the flap gate down as we all know this is beyond his control .
3) The harbour master did state however that the two points above could be avoided at all times if people bothered to read the tide time tables correctly .
