I know i should stay the f*ck out of it but......
....I heard a whisper that when the skipper realised the first mate was struggling with the anchor rope the skipper, rather than tie the rope off at mid-ships, made the decision to throw all the remaining rope to the stuggling first mate!
Now I could be wrong but that's what Leeky Lee told me!

what about next windy weekend we have a few lessons in boating and how to do it any volunteers for being the teacher jamie

it has come to my attention that divers were in the area when the anchor went missing as the second mate struggled on his own to try and save the rope and anchor .
