The weather today was good enough for Michael's Dad to join us on a fishing trip down to Castletown Bay in search of the Pollack.
Also joining us on this day was Edwin Jones ex Marlin World champion and allround good egg. We caught a good number of Launce on the way down from Douglas and we were straight into the fish once we arrived at our mark.
on the night it was Michael's Dad who proved to be the species Champion with 6 species. However our main target for the night was the Pollack and although they were coming thick and fast there was an average size of between 3-4 lb.
Michael's dad caught a small Ling and a sizeable Cod which Michael kept for his tea.
With the fish coming thick and fast i brought out the Eddystone Eels lures and did they work well, as i have already stated the fish were not massive but working the lurtes was great fun and well worthwhile, Dave Beer and his team really doproduce the worlds best lures.
By the end of the evening the best Pollack of the night wieghed in at around the 5lb mark and so Michael had to part with another £ to make me £2 up at the moment , but very early days so far.
Here are a couple of pics from the nights fishing
