| Got results of my MRI scan in London back to me today, don't look good at the moment, signed off for at least two weeks Neck and right arm and scapular pain. Not responding to conservative treatment. Magnetic resonance scans of the cervical spine. At C6-C7 there is a large disc prolapse posteriorly to the right side. This is effacing the exiting nerve root on the right and extending into the nerve exit foramen. (Image 19/25 axial view and images for 26/13 sagittal views.) At C5-C6 there is chronic disc degeneration and a broad-based disc bulge posteriorly but no effacement of the exiting nerve roots and no narrowing of the spinal canal. (Image 15/25 axial view and image 7/13 sagittal views.) At C4-C5 there is prominence of the discovertebral bar. Loss of normal cervical lordosis is noted. The spinal canal dimensions are wide and generous. The underlying spinal cord and base the brain are normal. The signal across the vertebral bodies is normal.
