The day started with a very nice breakfast at "The Caff" and then it was out for a days fishing.
1st call was the Paddle Wheel mark where species were slow to be caught but several Pouting and Poor Cod were kept as fresh bait for our quarry of the day Ling.
Michael decided that there would be two pools today and they were a species hunt and the second was for the largest Ling. From the paddle wheel we made the short trip to the Lady Lou mark and found little more success.
We headed out towards our intended wreck and on the way we stopped and had a drift on another mark (not the 6 mile one either), where several single species were taken.
On our arrival at the wreck we decided to have a drift 1st to see how we would go about anchoring up later. however on the 1st drop i was straight into a good fish which turned out to be a Ling of 13lb.7.875ozs which is a P/B for me, whilst Michael caught the only Pollack of the day.
We did drift away from the wreck for a while and which resulted in the species score being 8-7 in Michaels favour.
Anchoring up to get right on the mark proved a bit of a fruitless task and so wespent our remaining time drifting the wreck but with very little joy.
The weather was not quite as it was supposed to be either so we decided to call it a day and headed for home in order to make the flap gate. In all we did manage to capture a total of 10 species on the day which i suppose is a good figureand they were :RED,GREY AND TUB GURNARDS, COD,POLLOCK,DOG FISH,POUTING, POOR COD,WHITING AND LING. that is a wide veriety and here is a pic of "MY" P/B fish
