If the weather is permiting this sunday sees the next leg of our summer competitions taking place in the Laxey area .Once more we will be after a tope + 5 other species drawn out of the hat and a single fish pool aswel .

Just to remind you that the boundries are north of Onchan head to include the paddle wheel and as far north as you wish to go .I know that the weather at the moment is not looking to promising but the decision will be made by 10pm friday night ,wind guru are at the moment giving wsw winds with rain and up to 30Knott gusts so lets hope for a little bit of luck shall we .

Once again there will be a minimum 1st prize of £100 and our sponser for this comp is MANN RECOVERY,the islands leading proffesional 24hr vehicle recovery company .

Look lads I'm all up for the comps I actually enjoy them. Thing is. As individuals I can not see it the comp working. Mate onboard marking card ? I don't think so. I've got mine where's urs. Tough. I'm also not burning £49 ectra diesel to start in pt St Mary and finish there. We have to come from Laxey. If they carnt start in town with there trailer sailers why should we motor down there. with the wind expected to be wsw coming sw do you think that we would get away with fishing close in at laxey ??,we would of course have to juggle what fish we are going to target if this is the case ,you laxey boys know what your own doorstep will be like .

After looking at the weather charts I think that this wind will ease of before Sunday and we will get a half decent day. You can get Huss, ray, tope etc at Laxey mark but may be a little too far out if still blowing hard. Personally I think it will be ok weather wise

with the late start on sunday if we find that we do have to cancel then no one will have had to get up at the crack of sparrows,hope that this is agreeable with all as the tides are in our favour as we can still get boats back into the harbour until 11.30.

think i chance my boat! do you think that by the forcast and that we are fishing laxey we can only fish 2hrs down and 2hrs up at anchor low water is 1615 we could all fish the ray mark in laxey say from 1 till 7 and make it the most species from one mark only just put the anchor down and fish

What ever makes you all happy ,i just want to get out fishing .Tell Ben to bring the bacon and eggs ,as we will need to get something down him to chuck back -up and i'm not paying for him to waste food .

will i get much fishing done or will i have to keep pulling the anchor in ,in order to reset it again
