With a flat calm sea Bones II left Douglas harbour this morning just after 07:30 and went to the back of Douglas head in search of some fresh Mackie and Launce. Launce were easy to come by and with the drift taking us past the lighthouse the Mackie were also easy to find along with small Whiting, Herring and Codling.

With enough bait Young Gun Jack Kissack and I went to a mark 5.4 miles out of Douglas and started fishing. Plenty of Whiting and Codling kept the light rods bending over whilst sadly the larger baits were only troubled by an occasional Dog Fish.

Jack even managed to catch a small Grey Gurnard which took his species tally for the day to 7, well done Jack. Not a great deal more to report on the fishing although Jack did get a great video of a Gannet diving into the water to pick up a Mackie.
