Before i go any further i would just like once more to thank every body who helped , supported and sponsored the 2013 Fishing Festival, many thanks from Admin.


The Manx Boat Fishing Festival will be run in a slightly different way in 2014 with all three days being used for species hunting. The heaviest Pollack trophy will be given to the heaviest fish caught over the 3 day period.In addition to this the heaviest flat fish will also be taken over the full 3 day period as well.

This decision has been made at the two sponsors request for both of these trophies who are both sponsoring the 1st prize for each class.

The rest of the festival will run as listed below.

1] MAX 4 ANGLERS PER BOAT

2] MAX 4 RODS PER BOAT

3] MAX 12 HOOKS IN THE WATER AT ANY ONE TIME

4]BOATS MAY LEAVE FROM ANY PORT

5] ONE MEMBER OF EACH CREW MUST BE AT THE MORNING CHECK -IN

6] YOU HAVE 1HR AT THE END OF EACH DAYS FISHING TO GET BACK TO THE WIEGH-IN

7] ALL FISH MUST BE 20CMS OR ABOVE

8] ALL FISH MUST BE PHOTOGRAPHED, ALL PHOTOS WILL BE CHECKED AT THE END OF EACH DAYS FISHING AGAINST THE CATCH CARD, IF YOU TICK A FISH OFF AND FAIL TO PRODUCE A PICTURE, THAT FISH WILL NOT COUNT THAT DAY

9] THE EVENT ORGANISER'S DECISION IS FINAL

10] IN THE EVENT OF A DRAW IN SPECIES,THE WINNER WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE BOAT WITH THE HEAVIEST POLLACK

We will once again be raising money for Breast Cancer IOM, and will be running a raffle as well over the Festival. if you wish to donate a prize that would be most welcome.
